Standard boat – Eligible for in-class one design racing. Has the desirable Millanes Mk2 rudder, and very desireable inboard engine.
A previous winner of the Impala Nationals, in our 8 year ownership she has been lightly sailed and (sadly) not raced. Set up for short-handed sailing. She's neither a basket case requiring a lot of work, nor a marina princess with zero blemishes. She's a 45 year old boat who wears her years honestly and openly.
Substantial refit by Partingtons in 2017. This included new standing and running rigging, seacocks, cabin windows, gebo forehatch, and the installation of a below deck furler for the jib which allows standard racing sails to be used. A new switch panel and shorepower system was then installed by Ozzmarine.
In 2022/3 the interior has been refreshed -including re-foamed and reupholstered cabin cushions. A stackpack boom cover is in place to make handling the mainsail a pleasure.
There are two sets of used racing sails. 3 spinnakers of different weights, and some older dacron items. A brand new, Goacher furling Number 2 Genoa (used once for testing only) is included in the inventory.
She is fitted out for warm air heating with all the ducting. Price includes a new heater with controller and fitting kit.
The Yanmar 1GM10 inboard engine last winterised and fully serviced in September 2023 with any service items replaced as required.
The boat is ready to go. If you want to do fast coastal cruising (either short-handed or as a family), or take in a spot of fun club racing, she wants for nothing.
